Description
The Christian Educator Certification (CEC) program of ACSI Asia Pacific (formerly ACSI Indonesia) integrates foundational modules in both Education and Christianity through three primary training pathways:
• Foundation Program (FP) – formerly the Basic Certification Program (BCP)
• Teaching Development Program (TDP) – formerly the Teacher Certification Program (TCP)
• Leadership Development Program (LDP) – formerly the Principal Certification Program (PCP)
Each program consists of four modules designed to equip Christian educators with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to foster effective Christian education throughout the Asia Pacific region.
CEC Cycle I began in Surabaya and Jakarta in 2005 with the launch of the Teacher Certification track, which consisted of the BCP and TCP components. This was followed by the Principal Certification track, which included the BCP, TCP, and PCP components, in subsequent cycles. As the demand for professional development in Christian education continued to grow, the program expanded to additional cities. Since 2008, the Teacher Certification track (BCP + TCP) has also been offered in Denpasar, Pontianak, Bandung, Palembang, and Jayapura, with each location typically serving at least 30 participants.
In 2018, the four modules of the Basic Certification Program (BCP) were made available through an online learning platform, increasing accessibility for educators across Indonesia. Beginning in May 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, both the Teacher Certification Program (TCP) and Principal Certification Program (PCP) were delivered fully online. Following the pandemic, these programs transitioned to a hybrid format, combining onsite and online learning opportunities.
In January 2025, ACSI Indonesia officially transitioned to ACSI Asia Pacific, reflecting an expanded regional vision and scope of ministry.
Effective July 1, 2026, ACSI Asia Pacific implemented a revised CEC framework designed to align more closely with internationally recognized standards. This updated certification structure incorporates ACSI’s Global Core Standards, ensuring greater consistency, quality, and relevance for Christian educators serving in diverse educational contexts across the Asia Pacific region.
Effective July 1, 2026, the following policy of new ACSI types of certificates are in effect:

CEC Programs
Basic Certification Program




A study of Christian concepts of education, including the understanding of the dynamic of Christian learning process, the student according to the biblical point of view, and the role of the Holy Spirit in Christian education. This study also discusses the implications of a Christian understanding of education in the school. This module covers the development of history, philosophy, and theology within the scope of Christian education ministry. It will focus on the new trends and contemporary issues that will help participants in formulating their own Christian philosophy of education.
A study of the background of all 66 books in the Bible.
A study of the fundamentals of a curriculum development process. The participants will develop a curriculum that fits their teaching needs.
A comprehensive module designed to explore and instill a robust Christian perspective in educational contexts. Participants will delve into the foundations and implications of a Christian worldview, contrasting it with other worldviews, and learning how to apply it practically in teaching. This module aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to integrate a Christian worldview in their teaching, fostering an environment where faith and learning are intertwined.
Teacher Certification Program




An exploration of the physical, cognitive, moral, psychosocial, and faith development of a person from pre-natal period until death. This course is also designed to explore the concepts, the model, and the implementation of early childhood education. It discusses also its place in the community life.
An exploration of various instructional strategies for Indonesian context in order to improve the quality of learning in the classroom. The study includes collaborative learning, inquiry approach, active learning, and other learning models. This module offers benefits to Christian educators such as Christian School Teachers or Sunday School Teachers.
A study of measurement philosophy, principles, strategy, and techniques for a teaching-learning process. It also includes the discussion of the goal of an educational evaluation and its implementation according to Bloom’s taxonomy (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) and multiple intelligences theories. Each participant will develop an evaluation instrument for a particular subject.
Learning is an essential need of all people and is the essential mission of most schools. Yet large numbers of students of all ages have difficulty learning in school, despite adequate intelligence, social adjustment, and exposure to schoolwork. Because learning is invisible, problems with learning are not easy to recognize, understand, or address. This module introduces some important ideas, principles, and words used to describe learning and problems with learning.
Principal Certification Program




This course is designed to examine the theory and practice of educational leadership. A strong emphasis will be placed on the adoption and implementation of a personal model for school supervision. It discusses also Human Resource Management, i.e. projecting the need for teachers, recruitment, teacher assessment in relation to salary structure, and career advancement.
This course examines the policies and practices necessary for a healthy institution. It includes effective budgeting, financial planning and management, as well as sound business policies from a biblical perspective.
This course addresses legal practices and trends within the country along with court decisions that impact educational programs and policies. It covers personnel employment issues, legal ownership, nationalized curriculum and standardized assessment as well as rights of privacy and liability concerns.
Mission driven development implies that all practices of student retention, donor cultivation, direct mailing, and capital campaigns are in line with the mission of the school and approached from a biblical perspective. It is the chief administrator’s responsibility to insure integrity and effective school practices as money is raised to achieve articulated goals. This module offers benefits for Christian school organizations, churches and other Christian organizations.

Mengapa memilih ACSI
Program CEC dirancang berdasarkan sebuah pemahaman bahwa Pendidik adalah sebuah pekerjaan mulia yang sangat berdampak, yang harus dianggap serius. Alkitab bahkan tercatat menekankan keseriusan itu dalam 3 bagian Injil; Matius 18: 6, Markus 9: 42, dan Lukas 17: 2. Oleh karena itu seorang pendidik Kristen perlu untuk benar-benar diperlengkapi dengan dasar pemahaman tentang Pendidikan Kristen, cara pandang Alkitabiah, serta komunitas bertumbuh bersama.
Program CEC dibuat untuk dapat memperlengkapi para pendidik Kristen, baik guru, kepala sekolah, pengurus yayasan, praktisi pendidikan bahkan siapa saja yang rindu mengerti pergumulan dunia pendidikan. Setiap modul CEC terintegrasi dengan Alkitab dan dibawakan oleh fasilitator-fasilitator Kristen yang berpengalaman dan ahli di bidangnya masing-masing.

Apa beda BCP, TCP, dan PCP?
Basic Certification Program (BCP) terdiri dari modul-modul yang kami yakini perlu dipelajari oleh siapa pun yang melayani di dunia pendidikan, khususnya dunia pendidikan Kristen.
Teacher Certification Program (TCP) terdiri dari modul-modul yang kami percaya dapat berguna dan membantu para guru untuk menghadirkan sebuah pengajaran yang transformational di dalam kelas. Kepala sekolah juga diminta untuk mengikuti modul ini agar dapat membantu memahami lebih dalam tentang tanggung jawab seorang guru.
Principal Certification Program (PCP) terdiri dari modul-modul yang kami percaya dapat berguna dan membantu para kepala sekolah, pimpinan sekolah, dan bahkan anggota yayasan sekolah untuk lebih lebih diperlengkapi dalam memimpin sekolah dan menjadikannya terus bertumbuh dan berkembang.
Apakah Sertifikasi ACSI diakui oleh pemerintah?
Sampai saat ini, kami terus mengusahakan agar sertifikasi ACSI bisa diakui oleh pemerintah Indonesia. Kendati demikian, sertifikasi ACSI bisa menjadi nilai tambah ketika Anda melayani di sekolah Kristen yang terakreditasi ACSI baik di Indonesia dan di dunia.

Apakah saya harus ambil paket atau saya bisa ambil modul satuan?
Jika Anda bisa berkomitmen dalam jangka panjang, Anda bisa memilih untuk mengambil paket. Namun, jika Anda belum bisa berkomitmen untuk secara rutin mengikuti semua kelas dalam satu paket, mengambil modul satuan bisa menjadi pilihan terbaik Anda.
Apa persyaratan kelulusan Program CEC?
Lulus dengan Sertifikat Standar
- Mengikuti semua modul yang disyaratkan secara penuh, sesuai jenis sertifikasinya.
- Mengerjakan dan menyerahkan semua tugas modul.
- Lengkap administrasi (form pendaftaran dan lunas biaya program).
- Melakukan dan menyerahkan laporan Teaching Clinic
- Mengikuti Retreat Refleksi dan Perencanaan Strategis.
- Mengumpulkan kredit CEU sejumlah yang disyaratkan, sesuai jenis sertifikasinya.
Lulus dengan Sertifikat Basic
- Mengikuti 4 modul BCP secara penuh.
- Mengerjakan dan menyerahkan semua tugas modul.
- Lengkap administrasi (form pendaftaran dan lunas biaya program).
- Mengikuti Retreat Refleksi dan Perencanaan Strategis.
Peserta paket 4 MODUL TCP atau PCP dan MODUL SATUAN hanya dinyatakan telah mengikuti modul namun tidak dapat dinyatakan lulus dari program CEC.
Bagaimana pelaksanaannya?
Kelas BCP diselenggarakan secara online dengan menggunakan platform HaiGuru.
- 1 modul diselesaikan dalam 4 minggu.
- Materi untuk setiap minggu (berupa video dan handout) diakses melalui LMS.
- Ada 2 cara interaksi peserta dengan fasilitator yang diberikan: asinkronus (tanya-jawab melalui fitur diskusi di LMS) dan sinkronus (via Zoom)
- Setiap minggunya, interaksi sinkronus dilakukan di akhir pekan dengan durasi 60 menit. Jadwal pertemuan dibagikan di setiap awal modul dan bersifat wajib untuk diikuti.
- Tugas modul diunggah melalui LMS dengan tenggat waktu pengerjaan selama 2 bulan sejak tanggal pertemuan terakhir.
Kelas TCP dan PCP diselenggarakan secara hybrid dengan menggunakan platform Google Classroom.
- 1 modul diselesaikan dalam 3 minggu.
- Materi untuk setiap minggu (berupa video dan handout) diakses melalui Google Classroom.
- Ada 2 cara interaksi peserta dengan fasilitator yang diberikan: asinkronus (tanya-jawab melalui G-Classroom) dan sinkronus (via Zoom)
- Interaksi sinkronus dilaksanakan pada tanggal yang sudah ditentukan (hari Jumat dan Sabtu) dengan durasi 180 menit per hari. Jadwal pertemuan diinformasikan pada waktu pendaftaran dan bersifat wajib untuk diikuti.
- Tugas modul diunggah melalui G-Classroom dengan tenggat waktu pengerjaan selama 2 bulan sejak tanggal pertemuan terakhir.
Kapan sebaiknya saya memulai?
Idealnya, memang dimulai dengan BCP, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan TCP atau PCP. Tetapi, Anda tetap bisa memulai kapan saja dari jadwal program yang sedang berjalan.
Kelas BCP biasanya dimulai pada bulan Januari
Kelas TCP/PCP (PCP hanya diadakan 2 tahun 1 kali) biasanya dimulai pada bulan Agustus
Pendaftaran untuk masing-masing kelas dibuka sebulan sebelum kelas dimulai.

Masa tuntas CEC adalah waktu yang dimiliki peserta untuk menuntaskan semua persyaratan kelulusan CEC, yaitu 3 tahun (dihitung dari tanggal enrollment program).

Setelah selesai CEC, lalu apa?
Ada dua hal utama yang perlu diketahui oleh mereka yang sudah menyelesaikan program CEC:
